Her full name is Li-jung Chen. An aquaculturist by training, Li started creating ceramic pieces in 1991 in the same class with Lloyd. Two years later Li gave up pottery to care for their son. She returned to ceramics in 2000 and has since been taking ceramic classes at the Mesa College. Lloyd considers himself a potter but calls Li a ceramic artist. The distinction between the two is obvious from her works shown on this page.
